But that's only smal bytes... What I am now talking about is a great great news. I have discovered a strange radiosignal on 65 Mhz, it is on english and I have recorded it. It sounds like a british speech synthesis. I am not sure. But hopefully I can post you that.
I have read on this fenomenal at wikipedia, have a look, they caled number stations or number transmitions.

quite interesting. So I have plans to order the 25 year collection on number transmissions. on 4 CD's.

The christmas is rushing at high speed and I am not ready for it. Not yet. Maybe in couple of weeks bot not now. Only 7 days left. Aahhh... And my pretend sister wan't something great and I have no idea what to give... or I have but I wan't this christmas to be more like a remembrance christmas. Not the usual one. But Oh whell...

Not much retrostuff this period, because I am working and this autumn (fall for you US) is drilling me crazy... and as usual, I try to do 10 man's or woman's job at the same time. And it is possible if you know how to do.

But now, the biggest interest at the moment is numberstations. and the PV radio Band. fron 148 - 174 Mhz, it sounds fun and you can find speach there.
But the file later on, now signing off and sleeping.

Long time since but I'll have an update here

Picturetest on spectrum

I did an test on how to load an picture direct in the in the menu. I thought that SCR files were possible to load in with no separate program on the spectrum system I got a picture that tells how the file system looks like. It is my second test. If you interested to run these on a spectrum emulator, you can download the TAP files from my webpage. HERE!

In that picture you can see everything, step by step as they would be on a tape (or tape image)



















0001 is the commandline for and it types the "Starting 1" text on the screen

0002 is the program code that allows to load images into screen

0003 is another note and it will start the loading sequence

0004 is the main picturefile

0005 stops the tape.





The text is quite different in the test 2 i saw... And I tried to change the name's but it won't work.

But the old loader it will work by changing the name.

Experimenting again

This time it is 2 games on real Tape, look att my pictures. I did buy these tapes for 2 Euro, cheap.

Why did I that? It's because I have an theory in my mind that If i download wav 2 tap converter from the internet then I would play the game from my tapes in a emulator. So Yesterday I did my test.Recorded the beeps from the tape to a wav file (no compression on the wav quality)

Then runned the program mtzx233w which can be downloaded at:http://tzxvault.retrogames.com/tools.htm

I extracted it up and dropped the wav file to the exe file.The program starts to calculate and when it's done it turns off and you got the tape image file for spectrum on your root folder (C:\)

Then It were just start to playing after the load to a spectrum drive (emulator)I never use fast loaders because it ruins the feeling of loading something real.

The Game which work were "Heavy on the Magic" but the second tape had so much errors in the tape that it failed with the conversion from wav to tape image. the game were "tapper"

But fun that this works.

My new Webcam

I've got the webcam today in the mail today. I have 2 pictures taken with it, sadly it is dark outside now and I took the pictures in plain lamplight from the roof. It looks quite ok.

The picture is from a retro game sold in 2006 (NO ABANDONWARE!!!)

It is an Creative WebCam Live!
It came with microphone, but I can't use it, My soundcard doesn't suport that kind of sound plugs. EMU-X card you know.

But I can snap pictures in resolution 1024 x 768 and shoot video in 640x480, that's great.

Some day I collect pictures of my retrocollection and post them to flickr.com

And ofcourse, I let you see my collection of retro computers.


Oh, I almost forgot. I won the Auction on the Vic 20.

The Experiment and new retro coputer stuff

First of all, I've found A Retro computer on Ebay. An Vic-20. Ends this sunday, more of that later. Still no Amstrad tape testing, I got much to do right now. And Just Now, listening on The retrobits Podcast, and it is great, Earl knows what he is talking about.

Writing to you later, oh, getting an Webcam Monday or atleast Thuesday. Then Posting more pictures, atleast one picture per point.

future Experimenting

Some day now I will do a big test with my Spectrum tapes. I got an Emulator for the Spectrum system. And with that I can load Wav or Voc files directly into the system. And then start the game. I did buy the tapes (2 of them) for cheap price. 4 Euro did everything cost. (on a secondhand here in Åland)

But I won't do it now these days, I need time and peace for it, to think if something goes wrong.
But i'll let you know when the time and test is.

And a message to you Unsource, I didn't do it today but I will do it near future.
But I will also write it when I do it.
So once again than's for your tip.

Picture later of them, I have ordered an Webcam aswell so I can soon post pictures of that I am talking about.

Mu TFT LCD TV

Finaly my TFT LCD TV has arrived.

it is 20" and great for me. Not too big and not too smal, a Bigger TV takes so much space and my room is smal.

Did buy too a cable that converts c64 TV signals to standard European Scart cable. No more seeking for the channel in TV, just plug in and start to play.

Easy and fun.

The TV got 15 ms responding time, it is quite big but an human eye doesn't see the difference in moving picture between 8-15 so i thought if I can't see the difference between 20ms (laptop) and my TFT screen on my computer (2 ms) so why would I see the difference then in 15 ms?

Even the flickering picture when you load games from tape is good, no mixing of colors, it is exactly (almost) like in my old TV but this is mych sharper.

Did the test by loading some demos on my c64. and one Game. Everything works fine.

The game were on tape where i did the flickering test and watched how the screen is, and the demos from a 5,26' floppy disk. Sidescroll, scroll from bottom to up and diagonal scroll, everything floats smoothly, nothing to complain.

A perfect TV for me. Say no more :D

Laserdisc

Am I stupod or what... (stupod is the new version of a human that wont listen to anyone, just his or her brain only)

A NTCS Laser disc, and I do not have any laserdisc players. :D

And about in a week it is one part of my gigantic collection. :D

Thunder? and HD TV

I thought I did hear the thunder roling somewhere in the east... not sure,

But anyway... I am planing to buy a LCD TV.
But I still think, is the TV worth with HD? I live here far away from civilisation, and I got no HD-DVD, HD tv signals or Even A Playstation 3.

And my futuristic machines will be the Nintendo Wii system... so do I need an HD-TV?

Yes, HD TV would be great in the future... but...
If I buy the HD TV now, and we got our first HD signals here about 5 years... then my HD TV is like stone-Age TV... in plain english CRAP.

So... once again, Why do I need A HD TV...

C64 forum and updates

I just joined a superb forum site for me, the scandinavian c64 community:

Commodore 64 - "computernes folkevogn"... danish from beginning? I don't know, if someone types norwegian or danish then I'll ask my boyfriend :D He can translate it for me.

And now some updates.
My PSP has been repaired, i did get a whole new machine. Great. Oh btw, look at this great game, I did download the demo for it, and now I got FW 1.81 on it so that's great.

I will give a quick update here

On the end of May I got a PS2 (older version) for free. Frida, my little friends brother gave it to me. It got 4 original games. GTA SA GTA 3 AND GTA VC and WRC.

The HD that is mounted is 160 gb, and got now about 10 games... I did delete most of the games, either they were boring or they didn't work. And the PS2 also got 16 mb save card and a 8 mb for hd games. The 16 bit card, you have to reboot it with a Save card rebooting cd before launching the game. Then last there came a region Free memorycard, so you can watch film from USA Japan, china and everywhere. You only need a RGB switch or a cable to get that working.

And a HD loader CD.

I got here at home a bunch of PsOne demo CDs.

The main thing that I will use the 160 PS2 HD is for demos. Game's arent fun, it is fun to watch and read and see gameplay trailers, but... oh well...

I also brought an PSP. A white one. with FirmWare 2.60 on it... stupid,, If I had known that PSP demos will only work in FW 1.50... And the FW 2.70 is now released.

I won't update because if I do so, then I can't run Demos and emulators on it. You can still start demos and emulators via 2.60 if you use GTA loader. but I'll need to get that game first.
I hope PSP hackers are going to fix that problem. I still want to use the latest and at the same time use demos and other PSP applications that are freeware.

Super Mario Sunshine / Mario の極度の日光

Hi everyone. What I want to say today is that I and Frida have played the Gamecube game Super Mario Sunshine. She is a great player, I don't play myself as good as she does. And my first though about the graphics were: wow. The think oil and paint there or is it mud? Anyway it melt's away when Frida sprays water on it. I were like wow it's melting.
Sorry my english is crap, and my Japanese is even more crap.

I have brought a scanner. It is a Canon Lide 500F. And I think it is fantastic.
Then my Laptop PC which my job gets to me for a cheap gold. :P
And At the end of this month I will buy a 5th generation iPod. And till the summer, my first mac computer. MacMini. With its intel Processor.
I will write more soon but this was just a small update.
